Top Ten Resolutions I have for 2016!
1. Start/Finish at least 3 series.
- In recent years I have had the bad habit of starting a series and not finishing it, or I buy a finished series and it sits on my shelf for far too long without cracking the spine.
- A few series that I own but have yet to start or finish are
- The Percy Jackson Serie, by Rick Riordan (ugh I know I'm a terrible book blogger for this one)
- The Daughter of Smoke and Bones, by Laini Taylor
- The Throne of Glass, by Sarah J. Maas
2. Reread the Harry Potter Series
- I have read the Harry Potter series countless time but it has been a few years since I delved in. I want to get back into the world and feel the magic once again.
3. Keep shelves neat and organized.
- I will admit I'm not the tidiest of people and my bookshelves really get messy. I take books down to film videos and take photos for instagram and they sit in stacks for a few weeks until I muster the energy to reorganize.
- This year I would like to be better about putting them back where they belong. I have so many beautiful books and I love when they are displayed nicely for visitors to admire.
4. Be better about posting on youtube/instagram/here on my blog.
- I am new to the social world of book tube and book blogging and so far I am loving every minute of it. Having a place to discuss books is amazing, especially when you don't really have people in your personal life who share in your love of reading. So finding a place that I can rant, vent, and admire books is amazing.
5. Finish Popsugar 2016 reading challenge.

- I was trolling google looking for a good/somewhat easy reading challenge for the year and stumbled across this challenge.
- I don't usually set goals for myself for reading, I just go with the flow but this year I want to complete a set challenge and this one seemed pretty good to me.
6. Start the Rory Gilmore reading challenge.
- A few months ago I was scrolling through my pinterest feed and came across this challenge. It consists of all the books that Rory is seen reading or mentions in the TV series Gilmore Girls.
- Still to this day Gilmore Girls remains one of my guilty pleasure shows and Rory was always my favorite character. I related so much to her. So when I saw this post I instantly pinned it. And this year I want to at least start it and read at least one of the books on the list.

7. Read 75 books.
- This year on my goodreads page I have set a reading goal for myself of 75 books. It is quite a bit more than I ended up reading in 2015 but far less than I read in 2014.
- In 2014 I read just over 100 books and in 2015 I only read 45. Halfway through 2015 I hit a pretty bad reading slump. I don't know where it came from or why but I upset me that I didn't finish my goodreads goal. So this year I plan to devour some books!

8. Read at least one Stephen King novel.
- I read my first Stephen King novel in 2014 and completely fell in love. Being a horror movie lover I had seen all the movies and decided I would read The Shining. I loved it!
- I have been collecting Stephen Kings books since then and I have almost 20 now. So I think its about time to start reading them.
9. Read at least 3 classics.
- I have collected my fair share of classics over the years. My favorite being the Barnes and Noble collectors editions.
10. Participate in a read-a-thon.
- And finally in 2016 I would like to participate in a read-a-thon. There are so many that take place on goodreads and youtube all year round and I want to be a part of one in 2016. They seem like a great way to work down your TBR and get social with others online.
Well there you all have it. These are my reading goals for the year of 2016. What goals did you set for yourself this year, leave me a comment down below!
Have a wonderful day!
